The logo for the 40th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting is a fusion between the logo of the 12th ASEAN Summit and the winning design for the ASEAN’s 40th Anniversary, both events significantly forged by a common vision of continuously strengthening the “one community”.

The “4”, taken from the anniversary emblem, is represented with an allusion of a heart, signifying the resilient caring and sharing ASEAN Community, using the colors blue, for peace and stability, and red, for courage and dynamism. The “4” represents the four decades of ASEAN’s existence which is gaining considerable recognition, more than ever, from the global community.

The “0” is represented by the recent summit’s logo, with the ASEAN official insignia surrounded by 10 sampaguita blooms that stand for the ten ASEAN member countries, resting on 6 leaves, symbolizing the 6 dialogue partners.

The 11 leaves that surround the ASEAN logo and attached to the other leaves represent the 11 countries in the ARF that play a vital role in the fulfillment of the organization’s vision for the entire region of a One Caring and Sharing Community.
