SM Mall of Asia

The SM Mall of Asia opened May 2006 and is the largest mall in the Philippines. Located west of Roxas Boulevard, MoA is composed of four buildings interconnected by walkways. One of these buildings, known as the Entertainment Hall, is mostly open air and faces the Manila Bay. The Mall of Asia not only houses shops, bars and restaurants found in other SM malls, it also provides office space for Dell International Services (a subsidiary of Dell Inc.), and is home to the Philippine’s first Olympic size skating rink.

The Glorietta Mall is one of the three major malls located in the middle of the Makati business district. Its building design resembles that of a wheel, with an activity center acting as the hub, branching out to different alleys to accommodate various shops, bars and restaurants. The activity center is a circular atrium that serves a venue for various activities like exhibits, bazaars or even concerts.

A cluster of smaller malls make up what is collectively known as the Greenbelt complex. Its attractions include a wide array of restaurants and dining outlets, movie houses, numerous shopping boutiques of both local and foreign brands. Greenbelt also boasts of a beautifully landscaped wide open space surrounding a circular church, where visitors can relax and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Although it is one of the older and smaller malls in the metro, it still draws quite a crowd, comprising mostly of residents in nearby areas, students and tourists who want to experience local color.

Located at the near the Makati’s premier night life street, LRI Business Plaza is Makati’s most complete showroom of home and office interiors. There are also galleries featuring unique furniture, furnishings and art work by the country’s designers and artists. The building also becomes the hub of activities organized yearly by various businessmen, when Reposo St. is closed to traffic. Artists and entrepreneurs are then invited to showcase their skills and wares are then put up for sale.

Park Square

Located beside the Glorietta Mall in Makati City, Park Square features shops devoted to electronics and gadgets, audio entertainment stores, specialty hobby shops and various service centers.

Paseo Center

In the midst of towering office buildings housing various companies stands a four storey building called Paseo Center. It offers a break to harried workers during the workday with its wide array of restaurants and shops, and has been a venue for several other events in the past.

Power Plant Mall

Conveniently tucked away in the verdant "city within a city" that is the Rockwell Center, Power Plant Mall provides a unique and leisurely experience for the discerning shopper. Located next to Glorietta Mall, SM Makati is a part of the SM Prime Holdings, possibly the biggest mall chain in the Philippines. SM Makati is mainly a department store, offering quality goods ranging from clothes, toys, electronics, cosmetics and shoes with affordable prices. Divisoria is well known as the best source of bargains, and the 168 shopping mall is its latest addition. Named after a number that the Chinese consider lucky, the mall sells a wide variety of products, ranging from personal wear to office equipment. Clothes, toys, watches, electric appliances, household wares, furniture and TV sets may be had at very cheap prices.

Harrison Plaza holds the distinction of being the first mall in the Philippines. It opened in 1976 and is the only mall to house rival companies Rustans and SM.

Market! Market!

Shopping in Fort Bonifacio has also been given the 21st century makeover in Market! Market!,  the plush and ecclectic mall concept that integrates otherwise separate shopping components into one.  Loosely patterned on the hawker center of Singapore, Market!
